2. I've watched the first couple years and yes it fascinating.

I have many episodes still TIVO'd but not yet watched. I had gotten out of the habit of watching because of events and also the fact that it was on a local Fox channel and I don't watch Fox hardly at all, but you are right that in some ways it took on the money side of medicine more than the other medical dramas. It also takes on the showboat surgeons and how the hospital is OK with their misdemeanors as long as they bring in the big bucks in the way of conveyor belt surgery. (Kind of like the scandal in past years when local hospital rose fast to prominence with a team of cardiac surgeons doing unnecessary procedures).
