1. Yeah... If you live outside the Eastern Time zone (and your local news affiliates are like mine)...

You best watch a cable network if you want to see the ball drop "live." I don't remember them ever doing this when Dick Clarke was still alive and doing the New Year's broadcasts, but for the past decade or more, every time it "hits" Midnight on the East Coast, the networks go to local news before the ball drops since it is only 10 PM in my time zone. Very irritating...
