I live near Sacramento and the winter of 2023 was also during a STRONG La Nina. It began to rain INCESSANTLY here and flooded the HELL out, with a few souls leaving the mortal coil because of the water. This past winter was a STRONG El NiNO, (Forgive the misspelling due to not having a TILDE setting for correctly spelling the two words) and we got "enough" rain but NOT what was forecast.
