51st state: 3-year old Frederick, CO boy accidentally killed by handgun. [View all]

"Near the child was a handgun," Barbour said. "It also appeared with a little bit of inspection the handgun had been fired."

Apparently, the child found his stepfather's handgun and shot himself. This is part of the state that sees no need for greater gun control and want to suceede from Colorado because of recently passed laws.

Here's what a resident of Frederick said at a recent secessionist meeting:

Most could agree on two things: there is a “disconnect” between rural Colorado and the Denver-Boulder area, and secession for northeastern Colorado should be put before the voters as soon as possible. “It may just make a statement,” acknowledged Harry McClintock of Frederick. “But doggone it, I really hope we succeed in doing it!”

Evidently the insane people of the 51st state don't care about their children. Is that the disconnect they're talking about?

They also want their children to live in a new cancer alley and continue to suffer from the global-warming-caused floods. Oh, and about all those gay people standing at the doors of the local county courthouse waiting to get civil unions....yeah, it's in their imagination!

In summary, the 51st state's issues with Colorado's most recent legislative session are: gay people getting civil unions, stricter gun regulations, freedom to frack, and opposition to efforts to stop global warming (they will/might have higher electricity rates due to new anti-global warming laws that require a greater percentage of clean energy from the state's utilities.)
