Metro riders should prepare for repairs to part of Red Line in downtown DC [View all]

Metro riders who frequently travel through downtown D.C. should plan ahead this holiday season, because a portion of the Red Line running through the area will be closed for repairs starting Monday, Dec. 18.
(snip)

The project, which will entail critical repairs and upgrades to the Red Line, will disrupt service through Saturday, Dec. 30.

((The article goes on to depict which station will be shut down (Farragut North), which stations will be served by other Metro lines, bus bridge routes, etc.))

((IF you are thinking of using Metrorail to get to/from Union Station or National/Dulles Airports, look closely to see if you are impacted.))
