The new survey shows 59% of voters support the new [gun reform] law. 22% oppose it and 19% are unsure.
The results also show strong support among Republican voters for more red flag laws, universal background checks, and mandatory waiting periods for all firearms.
“Our results on gun reform were pretty universal across the board in support of the legislation that was just passed and in support of even more extensive gun reforms in the future… And that applied to both Democrats and Republicans,” said Bethany Bowra, a researcher with Florida International University.
On abortion rights, voter responses were more nuanced. 31% approve of the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, while 57% disapprove and 12% have no opinion.

Unfortunately, according to the poll, only one-third of Floridians support a new law guaranteeing abortion rights. And DeSantis out-polls Biden on jobs and economy, 50% to 34%.
