1. Disruption of Covid
2. Small amounts of instruction time for science k thru 4
3. Shift away from science of instruction time to make for lost math and English instruction spring of 2020 to end of year
4. Lack of science training for elementary teachers
5. Turnover of elementary teachers
6. Lack of funding for public education as a goal to privatized schools owned by DeVos etc al.

Which is most important, unsure, but a lot to disentangle.
