I joined the Army days after my 23rd b-day to be able to care for my wife and 2 very young children and I went through BT with these 18 y/o. They are just as irresponsible in terms of automobile usage as those outside the military. I was one myself and drove like a New York cab driver.

My point is, instead of forcing private businesses to discount their prices for any specific group but in particular this particular case, how about we spend the current gazillion dollar DoD budget in a wiser, efficient and personnel centered fashion?

It's a nice gesture but It's a slippery slope we shouldn't be treading down. A voluntary program of some kind is great but mandates? As a vet I don't care for their method even while It's a nice thought.
