Trump seeks more tax breaks on Chicago tower with Ald. Ed Burke's help

1. I'm Shocked-....

You would think Trump would be saying his building is worth the most of any building in Chicago. But to save a buck he wants the assessor to devalue it.

This won't endure him in the minds of Chicagoans because the assessor is valuing all properties in Cook County higher than they are worth so they can get high property tax dollars back. The County & the State is in a big financial hole and this is just another way they are hoping to climb out of it. They can't treat Trump any differently if they don't want a revolt on their hands.

Burke - a Dem - will also feel the backlash now that this is known. Chicago - a Dem town - don't take kindly to Trump. Bruke being tied to Trump in this will taint him as well.
