are totally harmless. They do some harm to young trees and to small branches on larger ones. I think
the tree trimming actually stimulates growth the next year. The biggest problem I have seen is damage from
ground moles the year before they emerge. I was born on a cicada year 1948 in these parts, so I have survived
5 invasions in my lifetime. I hope to be alive to experience them again at 85 in 2033.
