I talked about starting a union in the lunchroom during my break and the next day I was called into the office of the 2nd in charge. I was so outraged. When the store had to close everyone was crying at the meeting except for my co-worker and myself. We had just watched the video The Producers (this was in 1993) so we automatically started singing, "Spring time for Hitler" in very quiet voices. I changed careers and made a personal promise...to choose a career where there is a strong union. I became a teacher and the union rep for my site and a member in the SDEA, CTA, and NEA. This article doesn't surprise me one bit since I was even harassed when Clinton was in charge. GO UNION!
