Blue wave in NC, or just a splash? [View all]

With four weeks to go, what are the hot races in North Carolina? Since I live in rural Guilford County, I see a LOT of signs for Mark Walker (US District 6), John Hardister (NC House 59) and Rick Gunn (NC Senate 24). Yep, my area is ruby red

I've seen ONE sign talking about the constitutional amendments (the sign is for a 'No'). I've seen a couple for Ryan Watts and a few for Danny Rogers (Dem candidate for Guilford County Sheriff) - these were in predominantly African-American neighbourhoods. Where is the Democratic Party efforts to get local officials elected?

So locally to me, it really looks like that the same old people are going to get re-elected with large majorities.

Elsewhere in NC...

* Kathy Manning vs Ted Budd seems to be a close race. Is this really a chance for a Dem pickup? Any others?
* Do the Democrats have a chance of winning enough seats to deny the Republicans a supermajority and give Roy Cooper's veto some teeth?
* Do the constitutional amendments have a chance of getting through?

Thoughts?
