1. The 6th isn't competitive, but a number of others could shift

The 9th district is our best chance at a pickup (an open seat because the incumbent lost the primary), but I think we're slightly favored in Budd's 13th district as well.

A win in the 2nd is possible... but that would be a sign of a big wave. And a win in the 8th would imply something historic like a 60+ seat pickup.

Do the Democrats have a chance of winning enough seats to deny the Republicans a supermajority and give Roy Cooper's veto some teeth?

I'd say yes... at least in the state House.
