I went to my appt. today. I was scatterbrained and forgot to take a couple papers, but no worries, I can drop them off. They will pay my electric bill that's due tomorrow, and start the other payments in Sept. Woohoo!
I didn't switch everything over to my name when my husband died, so I need to show them his death cert. and they will cover those bills. The Community Action folks need to get copies of our utility bills, ins. and tax bills, and proof of income, and I think the maximum you can earn is $102,000.00 but not sure if that is gross or net.
It is a Covid relief program for homeowners. It will pay gas, electric, water, sewer, trash, Internet but not cable, house insurance and property taxes if either are due. It is for 6 months.
I'm happy that I qualified for the program. I will spread the joy, I hope
