If he did, in fact, bring them with him, I don't see how that could not be construed as intent to take hostages. Not sure how large a penalty there is for that, since he didn't actually get the opportunity, but obviously the implications are UNBELIEVABLY HORRIFIC!

I hope he doesn't see the outside of prison walls Ever Again.
