Becoming bit of a common experience here too, halfway across the globe.

AC not working? You need a $5K fuse box upgrade!
(No, not really, but I fell for it.)

I was ready for the next guy, a plumber, who wanted to rip up the back yard to replace the root clogged pipes.
See the camera looking at the roots? (I think he was showing me a pre-recorded video, actually.)
