2. I dove Puget Sound around 200 times in the 80s and 90s

Kelp forests used to be beautiful, massive and potentially harmful to small boats. Was startled once by a seal while diving in one. Actually I think we both were startled. He/she split, I caught my breath and the seal came back after I perceive it catching it's breath. Don't remember exactly but it was near the 'narrows bridge'. In my mind loosing this species would be catastrophic to other forms of marine life. Part of a wonderful web of life.
