like crack to them. This is before Trump. Then Trump came along in 2016 and was like crack. Doug is less cracklike (though he sold drugs in highschool) but the left is split in canada and people were tired of the Liberals after 20 years or so in Ontario. So he won. A year in people hate him so much. He doesn't have the populist authoritarian crack ability to pull the wool over people's eyes so when he started cutting it angered people. He was so unpopular a year in that he got booed by the fans at the Raptor's NBA championship parade. Now Scheer can't be seen with him. Most Canadians are not in the stupidity/intuitive voting bubble so many Trump supporters are in. And so many people in Toronto are first or second generation canadian that they don't want to go back in time like conservatives want. Plus we have the example of what happened to you. Plus Ford was doing corruption looking things like giving family friends important jobs. Not a good fit in a country whose motto is Peace, Order and Good Government. Scheer needs some authoritarian voodo to fool greater Toronto. So he needs Kenny who is Premier of Alberta 3 provinces away. I hope it does not work. I don't think it will. There are so many people originally from different countries in Toronto and they revere the non corruption in canada (oh sure we find it sometimes and penalize it). And the GOP have shown how corruption can be legalized if conservatives want to do it. Plus Maxine Bernier has started the anti immigrant party on the right. So that has taken 2% of the support from conservatives.
