"master" of the house? Because that WAS the reason the largest bedroom was termed NOT PRIMARY, but "Master" bedroom. In the 1950s, it might have not carried the same connotation, but today? Really?

Any realtor or those in home remodeling that refer that way today deserve not to be taken seriously--right up there with leading the woman client to the kitchen with a tiny counter "nook" when she expresses interest in a home office or asking if her husband has met with the loan officers as well when given no indication the sale was to be to anyone other than a professional single female.
