4. 2021 will be the deciding factor I think

Boris is refusing them an IndyRef2 but if the SNP sweep the boards in the Scottish election in 2021 the mandate will be overwhelming and at that point it is difficult to see that they will not be granted the referendum. However, this does not mean that Scotland would vote to go independent. Polls just before the General Election was 45% to leave. Of course this is before the impact of Brexit is felt at all, so if it is as shit as everyone expects, that % would go up significantly I think.
