Santorum(R-PA) got elected to the US Senate in the 1994 Republican wave by narrowly defeating a one term Democratic incumbent. Santorum(R-PA) won re-election in 2000 against a pro life Democratic US House Member. PA went for Gore-D in 2000. In 2006, Santorum lost by a landslide margin.
Gardner(R-CO) can survive in 2020 if Democrats nominate a mediocre candidate. In 2026, Gardner(R-CO) will be facing a 2 term Democratic Governor- Polis(D-CO).
