9. My kitchen still has two swinging service doors at both ends...

Yesterday

Just the way I like it. When I host, I can keep that all behind closed doors until guests leave and then prop open when the house is empty.

With or without an open plan, people STILL like to congregate in the kitchen if something is being prepared!
