It seems to be 90s technology trying to run modern networking. It is maddening

I was looking to replace mine with something that actually works like it was designed in this century. But I have no idea what might be better. The world seems to be enamored with cloud storage but it just does not seem to make sense for large backups of pictures and video files.

If you find something better I would love to hear it.
