1. What's edible in one part of the country can be poisonous in another

I know several mushroom experts who know their own regional mushrooms well. But when they go to a different part of the country, they can be wrong. Which makes any mushroom-identifying app useless.

(I suspect there'll be a lawsuit against the app maker now.)
