Man assaults another with "can of beans and bacon"

CORALVILLE (KWWL) -
A Coralville man faces assault charges, after he admits to hitting a man in the head with a can of beans and bacon.

Lenoard Seawood, 57, was booked in the Johnson County Jail on Thursday evening; he's charged with public intoxication and assault causing bodily injury.

Criminal complaints say officers found a man on the floor, bleeding from a wound on his head; apparently he and Lenoard were fighting and a witness say Lenoard hit the man with the can.

Coralville police say Lenoard admitted to hitting the man after he'd been read his Miranda rights.
