8. It is a nice place. I've been there in a previous life.

I visited my folks that I had not seen for 4 years. My dad has Parkinson's and it is a relief that they do not need to worry about how to pay for his care. Some day, I will be able to come for longer and actually go to places. Unfortunately, it was not for this trip (aside driving my son to and from Bordeaux because he has to pass the oral for his Master and that the SNCF was on strike, we were able to do very little).
