4. Governor of Massachusetts in 2018

Mass. elected a Republican governor in 2014. Kerry is a likely candidate to take him on in 2018. Although MA is a liberal state, it's had a lot of Republican governors, partially because the gubernatorial election is in the off Presidential year.

With the strong anti Trump sentiment in the state, Kerry would have a good chance to take out sitting governor, Charlie Baker, who is moderate and fairly popular, but beatable with the anti R sentiment that will be boiling in the state.
