Investing in America: Western Winds of Change - The White House [View all]

Investing in America: Western Winds of Change spotlights Carbon County, Wyoming, a historic coal community that is building one of the largest wind farms and transmission systems in the United States. These two projects will create over 1,500 jobs for union workers.

In June 2023, U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland visited Carbon County to celebrate the groundbreaking of the TransWest Express Transmission Project, which will carry clean energy from new wind projects across the American West.

Since taking office, President Biden and Vice President Harris have created more than 16 million jobs. Hundreds of thousands of those are in clean energy. From heavy equipment operators to autoworkers to pipe fitters to linemen, hard-working Americans are powering this country and supporting their families with good-paying, quality jobs. - 01/03/2025.
