While some of the content of the Russian Dude is OTT, the reports do closely track with the more serious sources and his blogs appeared when other video sources were not available such as Reporting from Ukraine. The Russian Dude's blogs are also about 5-10 minutes briefer than several other blogs and he provides social and political content that is directly from Russia. I started to post the blog as a contrast to the Reporting from Ukraine blog.
