4. At this point, I don't feel sorry for the families...

IMO, many if not most of them, engendered this type of hatred through years of "parenting." Children, left to themselves, will not see or react to the differences among their peers. They really do have to be taught to hate. There are always exceptions, I admit of course. But overall, you find a kid who'd do something like this, you'll also find a parent who'd do the same damned thing.
