One of the reasons I love science friction is because of the troubled, heated, and dangerous predictions the authors make about society, be it misogyny, racism, nationalism, slavery, or sexism. The Fifth Column was great in that way. there was another book, Asimov? that predicted a religious take over of the US and A. Scary, only because I could easily see how our society could fall into that trap.

I have to find Native Tongue. Sounds like a winner. THANKS!
