In the end of the meeting, they held hands and said something like a prayer. So...I thought they were NUTS!!

So, I was sure that I could lose the weight myself...Over the summer, I was on vacation..(that is when I went to the meeting)
so, I lost a lot of weight in the summer. When my job started in September, (I was a high school teacher) I started eating
again, and again, and again. I gained all the weight back.

Next summer I weighed 216, and I am 5 foot 6 and one half. ...So, I tried Overeaters Anonymous again. I took off all the weight
that I had gained, and I kept it off for more than 40 years. Today I weigh 152.

............. Overeaters Anonymous saved my life....I pray every day, and try to stay in touch with some members of the
program. I need to go to meetings again, but these times are tough for me. Masks, Covid, Meetings with lots of people &
so on. Yes, I pray every day, and am at a normal weight. I am very lucky to be alive.

.....Try a 12 Step Meeting like AA, NA, OA or whatever. If you don't like that meeting, go to another meeting. There are
usually plenty of meetings in an area. The key is very simple.... ..........DON'T EVER GIVE UP......!!!!

....You would think that it is EASY.. Well, it isn't. Life is not easy, and changing one's life is not easy. I think about
the 12 Step program every day, and many times a day. I have met some wonderful people at the meetings. Give it a try,
and please..........DON'T GIVE UP....(i am in my 70s and I didn't give up...Thanks for reading this.
