2. Husband has always hated nausea and related

sickness. I told the chemo nurse he invented nausea So for John, controlling that side effect is important.


He started chemo the end of April and will have it until Sept. After a break, he'll have another PET scan and the radiation oncologist says they'll hit what's left.

John hasn't asked about treatments, other than the chemo and radiation. He decided to stay local, in Marietta, OH. I search online and talk to the nurses and other patients for tips and tricks to help him. I got some essential oil frankincense and myrhh, and put it on his feet several times a day. He got some physical therapy and does the exercises they recommended. We mostly stay home, because he gets nutrition through the feeding tube 18 hours a day. You are right that any treatment or aid has to be right for the person. John said recently that except he is sick, he's doing what he wants--watching tv in his recliner.

I'm glad to hear that you are out of treatment. How long did your treatment last? Did you have surgery? How do you feel? Thank you for taking time to reach out.
