..rather than leave her suffering if you don't have the gargantuan amounts of money vets charge these days to have her adequately diagnosed and treated -- it's best to let her go so she does not continue to suffer.

There's no shame in it. It's a final act of love. Please don't let her suffer anymore. The urinary issues have probably spread to her kidneys. This would cause irreversible damage. But I'm not a vet, so that's just a guess. She's clearly suffering.
