It's a relief to read someone being so honest about this. That 'choose growth' narrative felt like a second trauma to me too when I was at my lowest. People trying to turn profound grief or depression into a 'mindset choice' is beyond frustrating and, frankly, insulting.

I’ve been through my own hell with mental health, and it only started to change when I went through rehab at Legacy Healing Center. What I appreciated about Dr. Ash Bhatt there was that he never pushed that 'just think positive' fluff. He validated that what I was feeling was a real physiological response, not a lack of willpower. You aren't 'choosing' the pain; you're reacting to an impossible situation.
