(I know—bad apples? My son was nice enough to bike down the road (both our cars are still awaiting hurricane repair) to get them at the nearest WM—which I boycott—and they were not only not yet ripe/half green, but not really edible at all on their own.)

So my solution was to make apple crisp and hope the sugar would help camouflage them. Couldn’t find the oats (still unpacking) so opted for a cobbler instead, using an untested recipe. End result is not great and I forgot to add walnuts, but I ate a piece and have now ruined my appetite for dinner.

Will resort to a simple salad later if I ever get peckish.

And man, Cher, but for some reason when I come here for inspiration, I always get a sudden kombucha craving…
