what should I use to insulate the lid of an old chest freezer? [View all]

I have a wonderful old freezer that originally had fiberglass insulation inside the lid. that got removed due to lack of care and we have been using the thing with an old piece of styrofoam sitting loose on top for a while. I was finally forced to de-glaciate and clean the thing this weekend and I want to put the lid back together. I was thinking of getting a new piece of insulating foam and gluing it inside, covering with plastic sheeting and then replacing the original hard (but thin) plastic liner.

or should I get fiberglass? need to move fast as I have a half a beef ready to bring home from the packing house.
