4. It depends on your needs for sure...

my neighbor cooks a lot and likes to make meals ahead. She hates her counter depth fridge. She was talked into it by her designer when she redid her kitchen. She ended up putting her old fridge in the basement and she uses it as well.

We have one of the big monsters that sticks out and I could care less about how it looks. However, now with the kids gone, and now that we use Blue Apron, we do not need such a big fridge. I feel like the one we have is on it's last legs and could go any day now. We will definitely look for something smaller and more practical.
