25. I'm so sorry. She was family. Of course you miss her.

I've had many cats over the years--I have five now, all former neighborhood strays--and every time I've lost one, it's been awful. There was one who died quite young, whom we'd found as a feral kitten. We cried off and on for months. I don't know your circumstances, but for us it didn't ease up until we brought another pet into our home. Not that we could ever replace her, but it gave us somewhere to put our love.

For us, the grief has always eventually subsided until all that was left were were warm memories. I hope that becomes true for you, too.
