that grief when my Mirena passed on. Her brother Terrence howled for months and stood looking down the walkway "hoping" to see her approach. When I lost my wife, I felt EXACTLY as Terrence acted. Grief is a universal for all who love. It is the great mystery of life and love and loss and how that creates new meaning and drives us to enjoy the very things we feel we have lost. I am sorry, Raven. Only time will heal this but being around for Raven now, holding her and giving the affection she needs so dearly from her friend who can no longer be physically present is a supreme kindness. For me, the grief of an animal is almost inconsolable...I cannot bear to watch their suffering. Peace Raven, RIP Charlotte and peace, strength and understanding for you.
