from feral to tame and socialized. I think that helps them in turn to welcome newcomers. Welcoming is part of their life experience, just something that now comes naturally to them even if they do put the new little ones through sniff and observation tests first.

The presence of other cats that accepted Carys, especially Arthur, helped her socialization process. I think it would have been harder without them.
