2. Cushing's disease

We had two male dogs die from Cushing’s. They were medium size - about 21 - 25 pounds. Finnegan was a 7 yr old German Spitz when he passed. Flanagan was a 9 yr old American Eskimo. Flanagan came to live with us when Finnegan was first diagnosed. He managed to keep Finnegan active for a time. They were such good buddies. We now have a 6 lb., 8 yr old Maltese/Pomeranian mix. He’s on special weight control, diabetes control food. We watch for excessive thirst, difficulty urinating, hair loss and bloating. None of our larger dogs, 30 - 35 lbs. had Cushing’s.
