I'm HOPING to thin them way back but I have a bad feeling they are like the Trumpet Vine. It's a battle royale EVERY year trying to tame it. My uncle, whose house this was, had a thing for flower beds and troublesome plants. I'm in an ongoing project to either grass over or at least use mulch to decrease the size of the flower beds so that they are easier to maintain.

And, fortunately, the kitten's favorite place is against the house where there are no plants.

I also grow a lot of garlic, which I know is toxic for cats but, much like the lilies, they never bother it.
