My 50th high school reunion is coming up on the 23rd.
I’ve had 6 Moderna jabs, the last mid-May. The new booster won’t be available until after the reunion, but my doctor told me to go ahead and get my flu shot now. I also got some N95 hospital grade masks from 3-M, and my daughter keeps me supplied with hand sanitizer in a delightfully refreshing blood orange scent.
North Carolina Covid cases aren’t spiking in the mountains yet, but Georgia is heating up. I’ve not left the mountain much since 2020 when Covid went full blown pandemic, but surviving 50 years past high school is something worth celebrating! We’re expecting about 100 classmates for dinner, memorial service, DJ, dancing and shmoozing. About 4 hours in a grand ballroom. I’ll be masked and distancing. Haven’t had Covid and don’t want it. If things go all spikey by the 23rd, we may have a zoom reunion option. I guess that’s better than nothing, and I know it’s a better option than Covid.
Dang, don’t we live in interesting times?!
