3. "Nothing is worth changing a Custer decision"

something to that effect were uttered by Custer when he was informed by scouts of the large mass of Lakota and other tribes waiting for him near Little Bighorn.

We would use that phrase in meetings at NASA when new information would arrive that would indicate that we would change course or reconsider a critical decision. Often upper management would reject such new information.

I honestly don't know if Custer ever uttered the quote... but he certainly had the ego to be that pigheaded.
