Democrats 31% think concealed carry makes for safer, 67 less safer
Postgraduate degree: 35% safer, 64% less safe
Non gun owner 48 safer, 49 less safe (parity)

beardown: Americans overwhelmingly support universal background checks

With a centralized data base as well (registration? or with deletion after a few days etc?)
Favor bg checks with centralized data base: favor 86%, oppose 12%.

beardown: Americans split on effect of background-check laws on mass shootings

31% think bg checks would have no affect at all on mass shootings
19 think bg checks would reduce a lot
28 .... " .............. moderately reduce
22 .... " ......................... reduce a little
Ergo, 69% think bg checks would have a positive (good) affect on mass shootings

beardown: Now maybe it was 61 to 37 percent last year, but we've still got over a two touchdown lead.

You must be really proud of them republicans (but your over/under line is way off): repubs safer 82%, less safe 16%.
Gallup likely still leaning to the right wing aisle. A vice pres donated ~$2000 iirc, to herman caine years back.
