Navy Seal dies after Soho Backyard shooting

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A Navy Seal has died after a South Tampa bar shooting. The Seal, Tim Martin, 37, appeared in and advised the filmmakers of the box office hit “Zero Dark Thirty.”

Martin was injured just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the SOHO Backyard Bar. He died Monday.

Martin was a ski instructor, firefighter, rescue scuba diver and skydiver. In addition to his vast resume, he was a father to 4-year-old Rocco.

Tampa detectives told News Channel 8 Martin and Jeffrey Glenn, 33, became engaged in a fight. Glenn went and got his weapon.
