The current VA law allows VA residents to get a CC permit from another state that is honored by VA instead of requiring VA residents to get a VA permit?

That would seem to be the part that needs to be fixed.

Apparently. It seems they really threw the baby out with the bathwater, because now VA CCW holders won't be able to carry in all those states either. Reciprocity is reciprocity.
