I occasionally debate in other fora, but I always try to be polite about it. I am perhaps not as liberal as some on all issues, but certainly more liberal than others in many. I believe that healthy debate sharpens our minds and our arguments against the willfully blind people of America.
I hope that while we may occasionally disagree over individual issues, we can agree that we need for a liberal mindset to be the guiding principal of the US, and not a closed off mindset, afraid of change, and unwilling to face the facts on the ground. Should we develop a set of blinders that only allows us to see in one direction towards one given goal, I believe we will fail as a nation and as a people.
