How will the firearm marketplace look in 2016? [View all]

Any predictions? Do you think 2016 will see sales continue to soar, or do you think 2015 was simply an exceptional year for gun sales? Once all the cream from SHOT Show rises to the top of the blogosphere over the coming weeks, I think we will have a better idea. People are starting to get excited about belt-fed ARs, ARES has one out now. I also think the U.S. made AKs we saw last year will start to really pick up sales in 2016. I credit the recent Saiga import ban for the U.S. AK factory we have now. Funny how the pesky supply and demand works.

What about ammo? It looks like the Mexican rimfire factories are really starting to put .22LR back on the store shelves which is a good thing. Overall I'm glad to see .22LR retail stocks continue to improve.

I'm excited about the upcoming year. 2015 sales will be hard to top, but we are going to try.
